A pretty incredible opportunity came our way in November, 2018, when we were invited to represent Peking University at China’s International Teachers’ Conference at Zhengzhou University. Highlights of the trip included a visit to a centuries-old elementary school, the Pagoda Forest, the Shaolin Temple and a martial arts display from the monks, and a beautiful evening pageant with traditional singing and dancing. The event ended with a lovely banquet of favorite Chinese foods — a “spinner dinner,” of course!
